Over the past two years, just like the 3 years prior to 2010, I have consistently attended the weekly Forest Preserve District Board meetings, attending over 90% of the scheduled meetings. NO OTHER CANDIDATE can even remotely come close to that fact and demonstration of dedication and passion for the Forest Preserve. I has been able to see the board in action, assess the good and the not so good and from that, and develop a plan to make him ready and willing to grasp the duties of a good Forest Preserve Commissioner
I will always do what is best for the tax payers . I was part of a team that reduced the West Chicago budget each of the last three years. I will take these fiscally responsible values to the Forest Preserve. One way we can start is by having the Forest Preserve Board take a pay cut.
Vision
You deserve a Commissioner who will listen to you. We have over 26,000 acres of Forest Preserve. We need a better way to access them; with more trails and bike paths. Longer hours for fishing and expanded winter hours. Man’s best friend needs a place to play and run too. Let’s expand our dog parks.
Leader
As a business owner, I have to make tough decisions, and we need someone to make the tough calls on the Forest Preserve. As Alderman, I was part of a team that Saved Taxpayers 4.4 million dollars by paying off a bond early. As your Commissioner, I will take this business sense with me and I would be proud to serve you.
